Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Vectorlightyear ("we", "us" or "our") provides Transly. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we handle, why we use it, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to you when you use our applications, website and related services (the "Services").

Please read this policy together with any notices presented when you use a particular service. Those notices provide additional information where needed. This policy does not replace a permission request or consent that applicable law requires us to obtain separately.

1. Information we collect

The information we handle depends on how you use the Services. It may include:

  • Account information: contact details, account identifiers, authentication information and information received from a sign-in service you choose to use.
  • Content you provide: text, audio, media and other information you submit for processing, together with related preferences and information needed to fulfill your request.
  • Records and settings: saved content, results, history and preferences associated with your use of the Services.
  • Subscription and transaction information: purchase identifiers, subscription status, payment confirmations and usage allowances. Purchases made through an app store or payment provider are also subject to that provider's policies.
  • Device and service information: device and application characteristics, connection information, usage activity and limited technical diagnostics needed to operate, secure and maintain the Services.
  • Communications: information you provide when requesting support, submitting feedback or contacting us about your account or privacy rights.

Some information is necessary to provide a requested service. If you choose not to provide it, that service may not be available. Please avoid submitting personal information that is unnecessary for your request, and ensure you have the appropriate authority when submitting information about another person.

2. How we use information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Services and processing your requests.
  • Creating and maintaining accounts, authenticating users and remembering preferences.
  • Making saved records available to you and synchronizing supported information between your devices.
  • Managing subscriptions, purchases, service entitlements and usage allowances.
  • Responding to questions, providing support and communicating necessary service updates.
  • Understanding service performance, investigating errors and improving reliability and usability.
  • Protecting accounts, preventing misuse, resolving disputes and meeting applicable legal obligations.

We limit our use of personal information to the purposes described in this policy and any additional purposes disclosed to you as required by law. Where a new purpose requires your consent, we will seek it before using your information for that purpose.

3. Grounds for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity. This may include performing our agreement with you, responding to steps you request before entering into an agreement, complying with legal obligations, or your consent.

Where permitted, we may also rely on legitimate interests, such as maintaining a secure and reliable service, supporting users and preventing abuse. We consider those interests alongside your rights and reasonable expectations. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

We use technical and operational service providers to support hosting, content processing, communications, authentication, subscriptions, payments and customer support. We may disclose the information necessary for them to perform these services. Their involvement does not mean that your submitted content is made public.

Information may also be disclosed:

  • When you request or authorize a disclosure, including when you choose to export or share content.
  • When reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, protect rights or safety, or investigate fraud and misuse.
  • In connection with a proposed or completed business reorganization, acquisition or transfer of relevant assets, subject to applicable safeguards and notice requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. Services you access through third-party links or accounts may process information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies where relevant.

5. Information retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The appropriate period depends on the type of information, the service requested, account activity, security needs and applicable legal obligations.

Saved history and preferences support your continued use of the Services and can be managed through the available controls. Information used for processing, support or diagnostics is retained according to its purpose rather than indefinitely by default. Account and transaction records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes after you stop using a service.

When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized as appropriate. Deletion requests are subject to the limited retention needs described here; see Section 8 for how to make a request.

6. Information security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or loss. These include encrypted transmission, access controls and measures to limit access to information needed for authorized work.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please protect your account credentials and contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised. We handle personal-information security incidents, including any required notifications, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Cookies, local storage and permissions

Our website and applications use cookies, local storage or similar mechanisms where needed for functions such as sign-in, session security and remembering preferences. You can manage browser storage through your browser settings. Disabling necessary storage may affect sign-in or other functionality.

You can manage device permissions through your operating-system settings. A feature that requires a permission may stop working if that permission is withdrawn. Changing a permission or uninstalling the app does not by itself request deletion of information already associated with your account.

8. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive eligible information in a portable format. These rights may be subject to conditions and exceptions. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.

You can use the controls available in the Services to manage records and preferences. To exercise a privacy right or request assistance, contact service@vectorlightyear.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant account. Please do not send us your password or payment-card details.

To request deletion of your Transly account and associated personal information without using the app, email service@vectorlightyear.com with the subject "Account deletion" and identify the account concerned. The app also provides an account closure option. We review privacy and deletion requests and respond within the time required by applicable law. If information must be retained or a request cannot be fully fulfilled, we will explain the applicable reason, unless prohibited by law.

Account closure and subscription cancellation are separate. To stop future renewal charges, manage or cancel your subscription through the app store or provider where you purchased it.

9. Children and younger users

The Services are intended for users aged 13 and older and are not directed to children under 13. Younger users should involve a parent or guardian where required by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in circumstances that require parental consent and that consent was not obtained, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Services, our practices or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain consent where required by applicable law. Earlier choices or permissions are not expanded merely by updating this policy.

11. Contact us

For privacy questions, requests or concerns, contact Vectorlightyear at service@vectorlightyear.com. Please identify Transly and describe your request so we can direct it to the appropriate team.
